The Kokugikan, famous as a venue for concerts and live events, has a majestic exterior that takes one’s breath away. But what it’s really known for is sumo wrestling! The massive arena also holds a museum of sumo, where you can explore the history of sumo wrestling through exhibits such as rikishi-e sumo wrestler portraits and prize banners of past yokozuna wrestlers.

During the Grand Tournaments, the arena is filled with the forceful aura of the colliding sumo wrestlers and the wild excitement of the fans.
