Japanese snacks: Sakata Beika
-
Local Snacks of Tohoku
The ORANDA SENBEI, known as the pioneer of the thin rice cracker, is made by baking Japanese rice to a thickness of 3mm.
This local rice cracker is made by Sakata Beika in a fertile rice-producing region surrounded by a few of the 100 most famous mountains in Japan, such as Mt. Chokai and Mt. Gassan, and special attention is paid to the rice and manufacturing methods that are used.
You may have already had a taste, as it is sold overseas as well, but there are special flavors of rice crackers which you can only buy at the ORANDA SENBEI FACTORY. -
Original Rice Cracker Experience
At the ORANDA SENBEI FACTORY, you can learn about rice production in the Shonai region and tour the facility, following the entire process of making rice crackers step by step. After the tour, you can try baking your own rice cracker and giving it whichever flavor you prefer! (Reservation is not required)
